Conduct of our scholars

As can be seen in the above video, a famous scholar is shown smoking. The video seems to have been uploaded by the nawasib. Unfortunately this sort of careless behavior from our scholars defames our school of thought and promotes hatred for ahlulbayt(as) and their(as) followers among the non shias. So is such behavior acceptable? What do ahadith say?

Al Iteqadat (Shaikh Sadooq)

وقال ـ عليه السلام ـ :  كونوا لنا زينا ، ولا تكونوا علينا شينا

And said (Imam al Sadiq)(as): "Be for us(as) beautification, and do not be upon us(as) defect/shame."


 وقال ـ عليه السلام ـ :  رحم الله عبدا حببنا إلى الناس ، ولم يبغضنا إليهم

And said (Imam al Sadiq)(as): "Allah(swt) have mercy on His(swt) slave who propagates our(as) love to(in) the people, and not our(as) hatred to(in) them."
