ثواب التختم بالعقيق

 Reward for the wearing of ring with the aqeeq

 

حدثني محمد بن الحسن قال حدثني محمد بن الحسن الصفار عن إبراهيم بن هاشم عن علي بن معبد عن الحسين بن خالد عن الرضا ع قال قال أبو عبد الله ع من اتخذ خاتما فصه عقيق لم يفتقر و لم يقض له إلا بالتي هي أحسن

Told me Muhammad b. al Hasan who said: Told me Muhammad b. al Hasan al Saffar from Ibrahim b. Hashim from Ali b. Mu'bad from al Hussain b. Khalid from al Redha (as) who said: Said abu Abdullah (as): "Whoever takes (wears) a ring, stone of it is aqeeq, would not face poverty/hardship and would not have fulfillment of his wish except by (the manner) which is best.

 

أبي (رهـ ) قال حدثني سعد بن عبد الله عن يعقوب بن يزيد عن إبراهيم بن عقبة عن سيابة بن أيوب عن محمد بن الفضل عن عبد الرحيم القصير قال بعث الوالي إلى رجل من آل أبي طالب في جناية فمر بأبي عبد الله ع فقال أتبعوه بخاتم عقيق قال فأتبع بخاتم عقيق فلم ير مكروها

My (Shaikh Sadooq's) father said: Told me Sa'd b. Abdullah from Ya'qoob b. Yazid from Ibrahim b. Uqbah from Siyabah b. Ayyub from Muhammad b. al Fadhal from Abdul Raheem al Qaseer who said: "Sent the governor to (for) a man from the family of abi Talib in (punishment for) crime,so he passed by abi Abdullah (as) so [Imam (as)] said: "Follow him with ring of aqeeq." (The man) said: "I followed with ring of aqeeq so did not see any bad."

 

حدثني محمد بن علي ماجيلويه عن عمه محمد بن أبي القاسم عن أحمد بن أبي عبد الله عن أبي جنوب عن أبيه عن عمر بن المقدام عن أبي جعفر ع قال مر به رجل مجلود فقال أين كان خاتمه العقيق أما إنه لو كان عليه ما جلد و روي في حديث آخر قال أبو عبد الله ع العقيق حرز في السفر

Told me Muhammad b. Ali Majiloweh from his uncle Muhammad b. Abi Qasim from Ahmad b. Abi Abdullah from abi Junoob from his father from Umar b. al Muqdam from abi Ja'far (as) who said (when) passed by him (as) a man (who had been) whipped/lashed, so [Imam (as)] said: "Where is his ring of the aqeeq? As for that if it (aqeeq ring) was upon him (then he would) not (been) whipped." And it is narrated in another hadith, said abu Abdullah (as): "The aqeeq is a shield in the travel."

 

حدثني علي بن أحمد بن عبد الله عن أبيه عن أحمد بن أبي عبد الله عن الحسن بن موسى عن الحسين بن يحيى عن الحسين بن مزيد عن أبي عبد الله جعفر بن محمد عن أبيه عن آبائه عن أمير المؤمنين ع قال تختموا بالعقيق يبارك الله عليكم و تكونوا في أمن من البلاء

Told me Ali b. Ahmad b. Abdullah from his father from Ahmad b. Abi Abdullah from al Hasan b. Musa from al Hussain b. Yahya from al Hussain b. Muzid from abi Abdullah Ja'far b. Muhammad from his father from his forefathers from Commander of the faithful [Imam Ali] (as) who said: "Wear you people ring with the aqeeq, Allah (swt) will send blessing upon you people and you would be in peace (secured) from the calamity/catastrophe."

 

و بهذا الإسناد قال شكا رجل إلى رسول الله ص أنه قطع عليه الطريق فقال له هلا تختمت بالعقيق فإنه يحرز من كل سوء و في حديث آخر قال أبو جعفر ع من تختم بالعقيق لم يزل ينظر الحسنى ما دام في يده و لم يزل عليه من الله عز و جل واقية

And from this chains of narration, [Imam (as)] said: "Complained a man to Rasool Allah (pbuh) that he (faced) severed upon him the road/route (i.e. felt helpless)." So [Prophet (pbuh)] to him: "Why do not you wear a ring with the aqeeq for indeed it protects from all evils." And in another hadith, said Abu Ja'far (as): "Whoever wore a ring with the aqeeq would continue seeing the good as long as (the aqeeq ring) is in his hand and would continue upon him from Allah (swt) protection."

 

أبي (رهـ ) قال حدثني سعد بن عبد الله قال حدثني الحسن بن موسى الخشاب عن عقيل بن المتوكل المكي يرفعه عن جعفر بن محمد عن أبيه عن جده ع قال من صاغ خاتما عقيقا فنقش فيه محمد نبي الله و علي ولي الله وقاه الله ميتة السوء و لم يمت إلا على الفطرة

My (Shaikh Sadooq's) father (ra) said: Told me Sa'd b. Abdullah who said: Told me al Hasan b. Musa al Khushab from Aqeel b. al Mutawakkil al Makki lifting (i.e. narrated in ma'rfoo manner) from Ja'far b. Muhammad from his father from his grand father (as) who said: "Whoever shaped/molded an aqeeq ring, so inscribed in (on) it "Muhammad is prophet of Allah and Ali is friend of Allah" and (then) Allah (will) will protect him from evil death and he would not die except upon the fitrah (nature i.e. true Islam)."

 

حدثني محمد بن موسى بن المتوكل قال حدثني محمد بن يحيى العطار قال حدثني محمد بن أحمد عن علي بن الريان عن علي بن محمد بن إسحاق الشيباني رفعه إلى أبي عبد الله ع قال ما رفعت كف إلى الله عز و جل أحب إليه من كف فيها عقيق

Told me Muhammad b. Musa b. al Mutawakkil who said: Told me Muhammad b. Yahya al Attar who said: Told me Muhammad b. Ahmad b. Ali b. al Rayan from Ali b. Muhammad b. Ishaaq al Shaibani who lifted it (i.e. narrated in ma'rfoo manner) to abi Abdullah (as) who said: "Not lifted a hand/palm to Allah (swt) (more) loved to (by) Him (swt) than a hand in it is aqeeq."

 

حدثني محمد بن الحسن قال حدثني محمد بن الحسن الصفار عن محمد بن عيسى عن الحسين بن علي بن بنت إلياس الخزاز عن الرضا ع قال من ساهم بالعقيق كان سهمه الأوفر

Told me Muhammad b. al Hasan who said: Told me Muhammad b. al Hasan al Saffar from Muhammad b. Isa from al Hussain b. Ali b. bint Ilyas al Khazaz from al Redha (as) who said: "Whoever takes part with the aqeeq, his part is the most abundant."   

 

أبي (رهـ ) قال حدثني الحسن بن علي العاقولي عن أحمد بن هارون العطار عن زياد العبدي عن موسى بن جعفر عن أبيه جعفر بن محمد عن أبيه محمد بن علي عن أبيه علي بن الحسين عن أبيه الحسين بن علي ع قال لما خلق الله عز و جل موسى بن عمران كلمه على طور سينا ثم اطلع على الأرض اطلاعة فخلق من نور وجهه العقيق ثم قال آليت بنفسي على نفسي ألا أعذب كف لابسه إذا تولى عليا بالنار

My (Shaikh Sadooq's ) father (ra) said: Told me al Hasan b. Ali al 'Aaqooli from Ahmad b. Haroon al Attar from Ziyad al Abdi from Musa b. Ja'far from his father Ja'far b. Muhammad from his father Muhammad b. Ali from his father Ali b. al Hussain from his father al Hussain b. Ali (as) who said: "When Allah (swt) created Musa b. Imran, He (swt) spoke to him upon Mount Sinai, then he (Musa(as)) viewed upon the earth, (so that) view created from light of his (as) face the aqeeq, then [Allah (swt)] said: I swear by myself upon my self, I will not torment the hand wearing it (aqeeq) when he loves Ali (as), by the fire."
