عدة من أصحابنا، عن أحمد بن محمد، عن عثمان بن عيسى قال: سألت أبا الحسن موسى (عليه السلام) عن القياس فقال: مالكم والقياس إن الله لا يسأل كيف أحل وكيف حرم.
A group among companions, from Ahmad b.Muhammad, from Uthman b.Easa said: (I) asked Abul Hasan Musa(as) answered regarding qiyas(analogies/deductions) so (he(as)) said "What have you got to do with qiyas? Allah(SWT) does not ask how something was halal and how (it was) haram."

ReplyDeleteWrongly translated into English!, if your language is not Arabic and you have not an understanding of Arabic qawa3id or the science of hadeeth OR the science of narrators within the school of thought i.e Hawza, then i suggest you leave the interpretation to a well know Faqeeh or scholar, by your explanation, you corrupted it?
Who told you qiyas was translated to be (analogies/deductions)? according to the Arabic hadeeth, it is not mentioned there, did you add it? Most certainly! now it is rendered false!

ReplyDeleteNo, the translation is fine. Qiyas specifically refers to deductive analogy where the faqih attempts to apply the nass of a known issue to an unknown issue if he considers the illah of the 2 to be the same.
Speaking of translation, I'm surprised that you use the term "science of hadith" which isn't at all present in Islamic terminology. Whether ilmul hadith, ilm ad dirayah, ilmur rijal, ilm al mustalaha etc none them translate to "scince of hadith" and correctly so since these 'ilms' are not at all objective and verifiable like science. That said this hadith is authentic and has been graded حسن (hasan)by majlisi and صحيح (sahih) by Bahboodi.
And yes my language is NOT Arabic. It is common knowledge that the arabic spoken today for eg on the streets of lebanon, iraq etc is very different from classical arabic that's why arabs like you are totally unable to read our ahadith books and don't even have the basic knowledge to know what qiyas means, so in the end you guys just hide behind your "well known faqihs and scholars". I've created this blog so that among other people the arabs will also learn their own religion. BTW, any reason why these "well known faqihs and scholars" behave like this:

Just a correction, majlisi graded this hadith موثق Muwaththaq and bahboodi graded it sahih as stated earlier. I was replying to another comment as well and mistakenly interchanged the grading. Anyhow, it's still authentic so doesn't make much difference.
