Ali (as) is to Prophet (pbuh) what Haroon (as) was to Musa (as)

Ma'ani al akhbaar

باب * (معنى قول النبي صلى الله عليه وآله لعلى عليه السلام أنت) * * (منى بمنزلة هارون من موسى الا أنه لا نبى بعدى)

Section (on the) (meaning of saying of the Prophet (pbuh) to Ali (as): "You are to me by (like the) position of Haroon to Musa except that there is no prophet after me.")  

 

حدثنا الحسن بن محمد بن سعيد الهاشمي بالكوفة، قال: حدثنا فرات بن إبراهيم بن فرات الكوفي، قال حدثنا محمد بن علي بن معمر، قال: حدثنا أحمد بن علي الرملي، قال: حدثنا محمد بن موسى، قال: حدثنا يعقوب بن إسحاق المروزي، قال: حدثنا عمرو بن منصور، قال: حدثنا إسماعيل بن أبان، عن يحيى بن كثير، عن أبيه، عن أبي هارون العبدي، قال: سألت جابر بن عبد الله الانصاري عن معنى قول النبي صلى الله عليه واله لعلي: علبه السلام " أنت مني بمنزلة هارون من موسى إلا أنه لا نبي بعدي " قال: استخلفه بذلك والله على امته في حياته وبعد وفاته وفرض عليهم طاعته فمن لم يشهد له بعد هذا القول بالخلافة فهو من الظالمين

Told us al Hasan b. Muhammad b. Sa'eed al Hashmi by (in) al Kufa, said: Told us Furat b. Ibrahim b. Furat al Kufi, who said: Told us Muhammad b. Ali b. Mu'ammar, who said: Told us Ahmad b. Ali ar Ramli, who said: Told us Muhammad b. Musa, who said: Told us Ya'qoob b. Ishaq al Maroozi, who said: Told us Amru b. Mansoor, who said: Told us Ismail b. Aban, from Yahya b. Kathir, from his father, from abi Haroon al Abdi, who said: I asked Jaber b. Abdullah al Ansari about meaning of saying of the Prophet (pbuh) to Ali (as): "You are to me by (like the) position of Haroon to Musa except that there is no prophet after me." [Jaber b. Abdullah al Ansari] said: "[Prophet (pbuh)] made him [Ali (as)] caliph by that, (I swear)by Allah (swt), upon his (pbuh) nation in his (pbuh) life and after his (pbuh) death and made his (as) obedience obligatory upon them so whoever did not go on to testify to it after this saying by the caliphate (of Ali (as)) then he is from the oppressors.

 

حدثنا أحمد بن الحسن القطان، قال: حدثنا الحسن بن علي بن الحسين السكري، قال: أخبرنا محمد بن زكريا، قال: حدثنا جعفر بن محمد بن عمارة، عن أبيه، عن أبي خالد الكابلي، قال: قيل لسيد العابدين علي بن الحسين عليهما السلام: إن الناس يقولون: إن خير الناس بعد رسول الله صلى الله عليه واله أبو بكر، ثم عمر، ثم عثمان، ثم علي عليه السلام قال: فما يصنعون بخبر رواه سعيد بن المسيب، عن سعد بن أبي وقاص، عن النبي صلى الله عليه واله أنه قال لعلي عليه السلام: أنت مني بمنزلة هارون من موسى إلا أنه لا نبي بعدي ؟ فمن كان في زمن موسى مثل هارون ؟

Told us Ahmad b. al Hasan al Qataan, who said: Told us al Hasan b. Ali b. al Hussain al Sukri, who said: Informed us Muhammad b. Zakariyya, who said: Told us Ja'far b. Muhammad b. Muhammad b. Amarah, from his father, from abi Khalid al Kabuli, who said: It was said to chief of worshipers, Ali b. al Hussain (as), that the people say: "Indeed best of the people after Rasool Allah (pbuh) are Abu Bakr, then Umar, then Uthman, then Ali (as)." [Imam (as)] said: "Then what happened with (to) tradition narrated by Sa'eed b. al Musayyeb, from Sa'd b. abi Waqas, from the Prophet (pbuh) that he (pbuh) said to Ali(as): "You are to me by (like the) position of Haroon to Musa except that there is no prophet after me?" [Imam (as) said further]: "So who was in time of Musa similar to Haroon?"
