Women judges in Islam, allowed?

باب أن المرأة لا تولى القضاء

Section (on) that the woman does not oversee/administer the judgement 

 

محمد بن علي بن الحسين باسناده عن حماد بن عمرو، وأنس بن محمد، عن أبيه، عن جعفر بن محمد، عن آبائه في وصية النبي (صلى الله عليه وآله) لعلي (عليه السلام) قال: يا علي ! ليس على المرأة جمعة - إلى أن قال: - ولا تولى القضاء. أقول: ويأتي ما يدل على ذلك

Muhammad b. Ali b.  al Hussain by his isnad (chains of narration) from Hammad b. Amru, and Anas b. Muhammad from his father, from Ja'far b. Muhammad, from his forefathers in will of the Prophet (pbuh) for Ali (as), said: "O Ali! Not upon the woman is juma'h (Friday prayers) - to (till) that the will said: "And does not oversee/administer the judgement." I (compiler of the book, Shaikh Hurr al Amili) say: "And comes as evidence upon that (women not permitted to judge).
