Why did the Prophet (pbuh) take Abu Bakr with him to the cave?



8/4550- Ibn Tawoos said (in Taraifih): And by way of the 'aama (non shias) that mentioned it, (is) Abu Hashim ibn al Sabbagh in book (al Noor wal Burhan) lifting it (the chain of narration) to Muhammad ibn Ishaq, who said: Said Hassaan: I came to Mecca and people from Quraish were slandering companions of the Prophet (pbuh), so he said this is what he said: "Then the Prophet (pbuh) commanded Ali (as) so he (Ali) slept on his (pbuh) bed, and he (pbuh) was afraid of abi Bakr that he would lead them upon him (pbuh) so he took him with him to the cave."
