Section on prayer of thankfulness  

5708 - 1 - محمد بن يحيى، عن أحمد بن محمد، عن محمد بن إسماعيل، عن أبي إسماعيل السراج، عن هارون بن خارجة، عن أبي عبدالله (عليه السلام) قال: قال في صلاة الشكر: إذا أنعم الله عليك بنعمة فصل ركعتين تقرء في الاولى بفاتحة الكتاب وقل هو الله أحد وتقرء في الثانية بفاتحة الكتاب وقل ياأيها الكافرون وتقول في الركعة الاولى في ركوعك وسجودك: " الحمدلله شكرا شكرا وحمدا " وتقول في الركعة الثانية في ركوعك و سجودك: " الحمدلله الذي استجاب دعائي وأعطاني مسألتي

5708-1- Muhammad b. Yahya, from Ahmad b. Muhammad, from Muhammad b. Ismail, from abi Ismail al Saraj, from Harun b. Kharjah, from abi Abdullah (as), he (narrator) said: He (as) said about prayer of gratitude: “When Allah (swt) bestowed upon you by a bounty, then pray 2 rak’ahs (units of prayer). Recite in the first one Surah al Fatiha and Surah al Ikhlas, and recite in the second one Surah al Fatiha and Surah al Kafiroon, and say in the first rak’ah in your ruku’ (bowing) and sujood (prostration): “Alhamdulillahi Shukran Shukran wa Hamda”, and say in the second rak’ah in your ruku’ and sujood: “Alhamdulillahilladhistajaba Du’a’i wa a’Taanii mas’alti”.
